President Traian Basescu: EU needs to take a stand in the Transnistrian conflict / I will conduct an external visit to Moldova

The European Union needs to take a clear stand in the Transnistrian conflict, Romanian President Traian Basescu declared on Wednesday, at the annual meeting with all accredited diplomatic corps in Bucharest. He added that Romanian will actively manifest within the EU to include Moldova where it belongs.

In terms of foreign policy, the key words of the Romanian policies will be: dynamic, continuity, taking opportunities as they arise, predictability, respecting engagements, efficient multilateral relations and solidarity.

We know we can rely on an increase of economic cooperation with the US

European Union
Romania will add to the consolidation of the EU abroad
The main instrument is to advance institutional reforms, and implement the Lisbon Treaty
