The Guardian: Timisoara - the new image for Romania: an unveiled diamond which attracts through its cultural offer

Timisioara is the city in which a week of protests lead to the dismantle of the Communist regime. 20 years later, this city proves that urban Romania is more than a collection of buildings, British daily The Guardian reads.

Together with Cluj, Sibiu and Bucharest, the capital city, Timisoara is one of those Romanian cultural centers which offer a real cultural experience. British journalist Ben Lerwill in an article entitled "Timisoara, Romania's new facet".

Last month, the city occupied the first pages of the newspapers for various other reasons. 20 years ago, mass protests in the city lead to the dismantle of the Communist regime. Now, the university city is known by the advance of arts, architecture and its political past.
