Seven new swine flu patients and one death were recorded in Romanian over the last 24 hours, the Romanian Health Ministry informs, quoted by national press agency Mediafax.

The new A H1N1 infection cases were recorded in Bucharest (four) and in Arges (South), Constanta (Sputh-East) and Dambovita (S-E) - one in each county.

The total number of swine flu cases recorded in Romania since the outbreak of the pandemic amounts 6,915 and the number of deaths recorded in patients infected with swine flu - 115.

Worldwide, 14,142 people affected by the A H1 N1 virus have died so far since swine flu occurred in Northern America around March - April 2009, according to a report published by the World Health Organisation.
