Romania has the potential to become a heaven for sky lovers: it has plenty of projects destined for the sky resorts and many investors and authorities are interested in the area, French daily Le Petit Journal reads.

A new sky resort was recently inaugurated with seven routes, teleskys and about seven km worth of routes at Sureanu in central Romania, Alba county. An this is the just the beginning as investors declare their wish to expand the area to 12 km.

Investors declared that another resort will be promoted in the area, at Portita Raiului. Local authorities declared that 25 mini-hotels will be built in the area. The cost of the project is estimated to reach 35 million euro and could be finance through European funds.

We want to build the most modern resort in Romania, local authorities declared for the newspaper. Currently, in Romania there are various sky resorts but their conditions are worse than those found in Bulgaria or Austria.
