German Transports minister decided to extend by two years restrictions to Romanian and Bulgarian transporters. Until December 31, 2011, transports operators in the two countries will not be able to transport merchandise between two loading - unloading points on Germany's territory. The decision is was made after a study revealed that the liberalization of the sector will endanger citizens working in the sector.

The study, published on the Transports ministry website takes into account the possible effects of liberalization for Romanians and Bulgarians. Due to the global economic crisis, the prices dropped and thus transports reached a crisis moment which might be deepened if the government decides to liberalize the sector.
