The government decided in its Wednesday session to allocate a financial aid worth 1 million lei for the Romanian Cantacuzino Institute, to obtain authorization to produce vaccines. The money will be used on the one hand to obtain authorization and on the other hand, to purchase equipments.

The National Drugs Agency withdrew in February the Institute's authorization so that the Institute is no longer capable of producing vaccines even though it was the only one in the country. The Institute produces about 10 to 12 types of vaccines.
