Romania will negotiate with the EU to loosen the requirement of Moldovan citizens to have 500 euro in their bank accounts when applying for a visa in Romania, PM Emil Boc declared for Mediafax news agency.

Boc said that Romania will attempt a negotiation with the EU. He underlined that it will not be an easy task, but that Romania will do whatever it can. To obtain a visa in Romania, member of the EU, Moldovan citizens need, among others, to prove that they can support themselves with 50 euro/day for the entire travel period, but no less than 500 euro.
