The general consolidated budget registered in the first three months of the year an estimated budget of 8.22 billion lei, representing 1.53% of GDP below the 8.25 billion lei set in the IMF stand by agreement, a press release of the Romanian Finance Ministry reads. The budgetary deficit was 5.8 billion lei after the first two months of the year.

According to data presented, budgetary spending were 45.8 billion lei, registering a 0.5% increase compared to the same period last year while revenues decreased by 1.4% to 37.5 billion lei.
