The Romanian state will reduce its participation of 51% at EnergoNuclear, the mixed company that will build reactors 3 and 4 of the Cernavoda plant, Economy minister Adriean Videanu declared in an interview for HotNews.ro. According to him, the participation could be reduced to somewhere between 20 to 34%.

We diminish the state's shares so that the state can actively participation in the project, Videanu said. He admitted that it is currently hard for the state to finance the 51% participation it holds. He underlined that through its decrease in shares, the state will allow a competition in the energy sector.
