Romanian PM Emil Boc ordered all ministers to leave to areas affected by floods across the country once the Government session on Wednesday was over. According to the latest Government data, the flood toll so far on Wednesday afternoon was: 22 dead, 7,000 evacuated people, 2,917 flooded households and 206 destroyed homes.

For his part, Interior minister Vasile Blaga said during the government session today that should damages caused by the flood exceed 0.6% of GDP, Romania may receive 75 million euro in assistance from the EU solidarity fund.
