Famous French biochemist Jean Montreuil, member of the Medical Sciences Academy and Honorary Member of the Romanian Academy was found dead on Friday in his hotel room in Arad, West Romania, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.

The professor, aged 90 was visiting Arad to lead a summer school organized by the local university in Arad. The dean's university, Aurel Ardelean declared for Mediafax that the French guest was in town for ten days now and he was supposed to leave on Monday.

According to a press release there are no visible wounds on the body but a biopsy will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.
