Belgian designer Tom Nulens ceded the copyrights over the drawing on which Romania's new tourism logo is based on, to a visual images database. Contacted by realitatea.net, Nulens said that Romania's new tourism logo used in the campaign Explore the Carpathian Garden is based on his drawing.

The designer said he ceded his creation to istockphoto that stocks images from independent creators and then sells them. Romania's tourism brand, with the slogan Explore the Carpathian garden was officially launched on Thursday afternoon at the World Expo in Shanghai but the launch was paralleled by controversy back home as several Romanian bloggers accused that a part of the logo is almost identical to the logo of a British company.
