The new Ford Europe President, Stephen Odell and John Fleming, whom the former is replacing, met with PM Boc on Wednesday. Later today, the two Ford representatives have several other meetings with President Basescu and the Senate's speaker, Mircea Geoana. The most important subject on the agenda is the future of the Ford factory in Craiova, South Romania where this year the company produced 3,000 cars. At the meeting, Ford reaffirmed its commitment and promises to offer jobs in the first part of 2011.

They were scheduled to meet President Basescu at 4 PM and the Senate's Speaker, Mircea Geoana at 6:30PM. The most important topic on the agenda is, surely, the future of the Ford factory in Craiova.

At the meeting with PM Boc, officials confirmed that they will stick to their initial investment plan of 675 million euro. Moreover, starting the first part of the year, Craiova will be offering more jobs. The intention is to have 7000 employees in the years to come, John Fleming declared. Currently, at the factory there are 3500 people working.
