





Significant change to Constitutional Court law: Trials to no longer be delayed by exception of unconstitutionality
The bill was passed with 69 votes in favor. In May 2009, a similar bill was rejected with 68 votes in favor - one less than the necessary number.
The draft law approved by the Senate on Tuesday removes a provision from Law 47/1992 regarding the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court, saying that when a solution is sought for exceptions of unconstitutionality judging in a trial is suspended for the period.
