Bucharest district 6 magistrates rejected, on Friday night the proposal of prosecutors to temporary arrest the Technical service chief of the Giulesti Maternity, Vasile Dima who was arrested on Friday for 24 hours in the file related to the fire on August 16 at the Giulest maternity ward where five new borns lost their lives and six are under severe condition, Romanian news agency Agerpres informs.
Dima was responsible of monitoring and checking installations at the hospital and making sure that the employees are aware of the protection norms. Prosecutors appealed the decision of the judges. Vasile Dima will be released on Saturday afternoon.
