Jean Claude Trichet, Central European Bank President will arrive in Bucharest on September 4 to attend manifestations organized by the Romanian National Central Bank to mark 130 years since opening. Even though Trichet set up meetings with President Basescu and PM Emil Boc, it is possible that his meetings will be cancelled following the governmentțs plans to cut salaries of the central bank employees.
Trichet will be in Romania for 24 hours. The event organized by the National Central Bank will unite former and current governors of central banks across Europe.
