Leader of the Socialist group in the European Parliament, Martin Schulz declared that Bulgaria and Romania will not be able to join Schengen in 2011, mainly because Germany and France oppososes, Novinite informs.

There are many problems with immigrants, especially with the Rroma community, that will play a key role in France, Schulz said. In Germany, the situation is probably the same but the main proble are not Rroma but working immigrants.

Last week, French Foreign Affairs inister declared that Romania and Bulgaria are not ready to join Schengen in March 2011 like the two states hope to.

German Ambassador to Bucharest declared that his country supports Romania to join Schengen. He said that all European countries support its mmeber states otherwise the program would not exist.
