The last Schengen evaluations visit for Romania to join Schengen is taking place from 6-10 December and is related to the SIS/SIRENE sector. The schedule sees the evaluation of the Interior Ministry structures with competences in the sector: National SIS Center, SIRENE office, Bucharest Sector 1 Police HQ, International Henri Coanda airport, County Police HQ in Arges, Iasi, customs point at Sculeni and possible surprise visits.

Romania's deadlined to join Schengen is March 2011 and there are operational delays with the SIS II operationalization which is why officials announced their plans to use SISone4ALL as an intermediary solution to connect at SIS.

Romania received support for the implementation of SISone4ALL and SIRENE from certain member states - Poland (as a coaching country), Germany, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland.
