Romanian businessman Sorin Ovidiu Vantu, indicted for helping Romanian fugitive Nicolae Popescu, was released on Tuesday from the FloreasCa hospital, Romanian news agency Agerpres reads quoting hospital sources. According to them, the business was hospitalized due to cardiac problems which was the main reason invoked by his lawyers on Monday at his term trial. Mediafax reads that he was released at request on Monday night after several hours spent in the hospital.

His lawyers declared that the businessman, with well known cardiac issues, went to the Floreasca hospital on Monday morning and doctors decided to hospitalize him for further investigations. Vantu is forbidden to leave the country and has to be present at all his trial terms.
