Romania’s evaluation report on Schengen, regarding the IT system SIS/SIRENE, presented on Friday at Brussels is positive and was accepted by all member states without objections or observations. French representative at the meeting requested, however,more time to study the document, Romania’s Interior Ministry announced in a press release.

The report was presented on Friday, in a monthly meeting of the Schengen evaluation group by the expert who coordinated the evaluation mission in Romania. The report is positive and underlines the fact that Romania complied with all Schengen requirements and was accepted by all member states.

The procedure to adopt the report will continue in the upcoming period, the quoted source adds.
