Finland joins France and Germany in opposing Romania and Bulgaria’s adhesion to Schengen, a spokesperson of the Finnish government announced on Thursday, quoted by AFP. The official position was decided last week by the committee for European Affairs that reunites the ministers concerned, Norros Mikko declared. Norros said that the committee decided to announce it at the visit of the French European Affairs minister made at Helsinki on Thursday.

In a common press conference with the Finnish European Affairs and Immigration minister Astrid Thors, the French European Affairs minister Laurent Wauquiez underlined that Romania and Bulgaria’s adhesion will threaten EU security.
