A group of 15 border police and customs officers from Romania's Moravita border point were placed under preventive arrest at the request of anti-graft prosecutors on Wednesday, Romanian news agency Agerpres has reported.

Later today, another group of 15 border police and customs officers from the Naidas border point in Caras Severin, SE Romania were retained with a call by the National Anti-corruption Department that they also be placed under preventive arrest.

Anti-graft prosecutors had ordered that 45 border police and customs officers be retained under corruption charges following a series of raids at several of Romania's border points this week.
