I have little trust in the parties and the Pasat case is an example, as any other Romanian, President Basescu said for the public radio, Radio Romania Actualitati. He said that he asked the main party responsible to leave the Pasat case in the hands of justice but nothing happened.
The EU justice report on Romania will be released on Friday, which is why the vote on PDL deputy Pasat was crucial in giving responsibility and credibility not only to the parties but also to the justice system, Basescu said. These cases can have the toughest effect on Romania, he explained. I trust that eventually we will move things ahead but the solution is for everybody to be responsible, Basescu said.
