The three persons accused in the Halmeu customs case remain in arrest, Oradea Appellate Court decided on Thursday, therefore rejecting the appeal they formulated, Romanian news agency Agerpres reports. Last week the three received temporary arrest warrants.

Anti graft prosecutors issued a press release on February 3rd mentioning the arrest of Liviu Florian, businessman for two felonies of traffic of influence; Ion Savu, businessman for two felonies of complicity to traffic of influence and Ioan Romeo Nitu, former employee of the duty free shop in Halmeu customs for complicity to influence buying.
