While most Romanians live with the impression that the Japanese are accustomed to earthquakes and are not fightened easily, it is in fact otherwise: they're as frighened as Romanians, but are less choleric in their reactions. They're more disciplined and better trained as they psychologically train for such events from kindergarten - writes a Romanian living in Japan on his blog (in Romanian).

Marius, the author of the blog, reports in real time information from the areas most affected by the earthquake which hit Japan on Friday. According to the Romanian blogger, such a strong earthquake has not been felt in Japan since 1854.

He tells how people are coping with the impact of the earthquakes and of tsunamis and notes stories of "heroism" such as that of a TV presenter who kept his show running as noises of hitting objects could be heard from the studio.
