Romania’s Foreign Affairs Ministry called on Thursday night Hungary’s Ambassador to Bucharest, Oszkar Fuzes to deliver him the message that the Romanian parties are dissatisfied with the situation created by messages transmitted regarding manifestations marking the 1848 revolution, a press release of the institution reads.

The ministry requested an urgent clarification of the situation and says it will have the problem under attention. The ministry received the explanations given regarding the official messages transmitted by the Hungarian PM Viktor Orban.

Romania reiterated the position of Romanian authorities according to which, Romania promotes central decentralization but not territorial autonomy on ethnical grounds which is not in compliance with the Romanian Constitution.
