Anti graft prosecutors: union leader Marius Petcu used the membership fees paid by union members

Marius Petcu practically took the membership fees paid by union members when he paid the contract attributed to Scrieciu’s company, which unsettles the public opinion, anti graft prosecutors involved in the case in which union leader Marius Petcu is indicted for bribe taking. 

The statements of anti graft prosecutors is part of the motivation of the Appellate Court through which the court rejected the request of anti graft prosecutors to temporary arrest Petcu, Romanian news agency Mediafax reads. According to prosecutors, the quality and professional training of Petcu are aspects that influence the social danger he can incur. However, judges were not convinced that Petcu’s release will affect, in real terms, public opinion.
