Pushed on the edge of human resistance, Fukushima nuclear plant employees face daily important amounts of radioactivity and do leave their protection equipments only to use a lead blanket, AFP informs.

Ever since the plant was affected by the 9.0 Richter scale earthquake and the tsunami technicians and militaries fight to prevent an even greater disaster. Workers rest in a building on site of the plant that has equipments resistant to a part of the radiations.

The food is scarce, one worker says, explaining that they eat twice a day: in the morning an energy bar and in the afternoon instant rice and canned foods. Two workers were hospitalized last week after they walked with regular boots through the water that leaked in a room.
