The level of radioactive iodine registered on Wednesday morning was 3,355 times higher than the normal levels measured in sea water, 300 km South of Fukushima plant. This is the highest level of radiations registered since the catastrophe began news agency Jiji reports. Radioactive pollution at Fukushima increased after the water used to cool reactors leaked in the Pacific.
Meanwhile, several humanitarian organizations in the US announced that American citizens gathered about 150 million dollars for Japanese victims, American Red Cross President Bonnie McElveen Hunter declared.
