Romconstruct Top SRL, the company owned by ButanGas Romania and Eco Power Wind SRL, controlled by businessman Emanuel Muntmark finshed two projects that produce green energy of wind mills, Romania’s Economy ministry informs. According to Hotnews.ro information, the park built by Romconstruct Top has a capacity of 25 MW (Silistea Eolian Park) and the one finished by Eco Power Wind has a capacity of 10MW (Mirease Eolian Park).

The two projects are financed by the EU. With these two new projects, Romania currently has 500 MW with an installed capacity in the eolian energy sector. Romania even entered in a top30 of the countries attractive for renewable energy. Among the most advanced projects in Romania is the one set up by CEZ who invested 1.1 billion euro in the creation of the biggest eolian park in Europe with a total installed power of 600 MW.

CEZ’s eolian park at Cogealac and Fatanele, when finished will have double the capacity of the biggest operational park in Europe (Whitellee eolian park in Scotland, 322 MW). Currently, CEZ operates 240 MW in the first part of the bigger project. Spanish Iberdrola Renovables announced last year plans to develop 1,500 MW worth eolian parks in Dobrogea, South East Romania. The company plans to build 50 such parks between 2011 and 2017.
