Dacia will cease the production of cars between April 22 and May 2 due to some suppliers who hhave been facing some problems and cannot deliver elements in time, company representatives said. They say that they decision to cease production has nothing to do with the crisis in Japan. The cease will not affect all the platform, just car assemblies. Dacia officials said that a series of suppliers have been facing some problems which got worse and that there will be a deficit of engines.

This period will offer them a chance to recover and resume their normal deliveries, Groupe Renault Romania communications chief Anca Oreviceanu said for HotNews.ro.
