There is no way the pollution tax will be removed and in two weeks a governmental committee will find a solution to the decision of the European Court of Justice that claims that the tax is not complying to European laws, Romania’s Environment minister Laszlo Borbely declared quoted by Romanian news agency Agerpres.

He added that the law on the issue is agreed with the EU. The polluter needs to pay and therefore the tax on pollution will not be removed, Borbely underlined. He said that a committee will analyze the decision of the European Court of Justice and will decide whether the law needs to be changed or not and conclusions will be released by the end of the month.
