French boxer Jean Paul Mendy signed on Friday the contract that becomes the next challenger for the world title owned by Romanian Lucian Bute. Romanian boxer will defend his IBF title for the eight time and will fight for the first time in Romania on July 9.

The gala will be called Champions for Romania and another two Romanian boxers will also fight Silviu Olteanu and Viorel Simion. This is a dream come true, Bute said. He said Romanians have been supporting him since he has been fighting and on July 9th they will stand by him.

The adversary of the Romania will be French boxer Jean Paul Mendy, aged 37 years. Mendy said that he has been waiting for a while for this opportunity.
