Anti graft prosecutors indicted 55 employees from the Naidas customs, of which three were already in temporary arrest and persons involved in illegal cigarettes smuggling, anti graft prosecutors announced in a press release.
In February, the Bucharest Court of Appeals ruled the temporary arrest of 4 customs police officers, 20 customs police agents and 5 customs workers all from the Naidas customs.
The 36 employees were released with an interdiction to leave the country. Anti graft prosecutors claim that the above mentioned received illegal cigarettes as bribe constantly including different sums of money and other goods to facilitate cigarettes smuggling from Serbia.
