





Eurostat: 67% of the citizenships awarded in Romania in 2009 were for Moldovans and 66% of the citizenships awarded in Hungary were for Romanians
According to EU data, Romania offered 0.4 citizenships to 1,000 people below the EU average that is 1.6 citizenships to 1,000 people. Of the foreigners who received Romanian citizenship in 2009, 67.2% come from Moldova.
Data released by Eurostat also points the fact that 66% of the citizenships offered by Hungary went to Romanians in 2009.
