The volume of commerce between the two countries exceeds 3.7 billion dollars last year which makes Romania the fourth important commercial partner in the European area, China’s Industry Ministry Guo Jiangbing and chief of the Chinese delegation in Romania said at an economic IT&C forum.

China’s Ambassador to Bucharest, Liu Zengwen, present at the event said that since 2004 the governments of the two countries signed several cooperation agreements in the IT&C sector. ZTE and Huawei companies increased their share on the Romanian market and became one of the most important suppliers of products, the Chinese Ambassador said.

Members of the Chinese delegation revealed that the IT&C industry in 2010 represented 1% of the Romania’s GDP.
