It seems that some are sensitive even when talking about history, Romanian President Traian Basescu said on Thursday, commenting the statements made by the Russian Foreign Affairs ministry who criticized the Romanian chief of state for his insolence related to the statements related to the attack of the USSR in 1941.

Here are some of the most important statements made by President Basescu several hours after Moscow’s reaction

  • It seems that some are sensitive even when talking about history I believe that my answer was in accordance with Romania’s position that condemned the Ribbentrop Molotov treaty
  • I do not see where the problem is
  • The USSR does not exist any more I understood even before seeing the President of Switzerland that there are political and military analysts that are hysterical on our attack of the Russian federation
  • Nothing new under the sun
