High temperatures in Romania caused 12 deaths in one day

Health Minister Eugen Nicolaescu announced on Tuesday that 12 persons lost their life due to extremely high temperatures on Monday. The total number to deaths for the season so far amounts to 30.

Meteorologists announce that the red code warning would come to an end on Tuesday night at 9pm and by tomorrow it will be replaced with an orange code warning.

The warning is valid up to Wednesday night, when meteorologits forecast that no warning alerts would be necessary.
