Romanian President Traian Basescu on Thursday invited parliamentary parties to consultations next week on political issues that were brought about in the campaign for the May 19 referendum where a majority of Romanians voted him back in office.

The issues include the lustration law, the uninominal vote and the creation of a transparent, responsible political majority, according to a presidency press release.

According to the press release, the talks will also focus on the activation of parliamentary mechanisms to review the Constitution, establishing governmental and legislative priorities for the coming period and the implementation of a set of laws on the national security.
