The Italian judges will hear today Doina Matei, the 21-year old Romanian suspect in the "Umbrella murder" case. Matei is accused of killing a young woman in the Termini subway station in Rome, according to the online edition of Corriere della Sera.

Doina Matei's lawyer says that the suspect is going through a nervous breakdown and continues to claim that it was an accident.

Also on Wednesday, the Minors' Court will hear the 17-year old Romanian girl who was with Doina Matei when the incident occurred. The minor is also accused of second degree murder.

Both Romanian women were known to the Police as prostitutes.
