Six Romanian NGOs will attend a demonstration to support efforts in combating corruption and Justice minister Monica Macovei, the resignation of whom is demanded by the Parliament. The protest is organized by the Group for Social Dialogue, the Academic Society of Romania, Freedom House, the Ofensive Group, human rights group APADOR CH and the Academy of Advocacy.
The event will take blace before the National Theater in Bucharest in the afternoon.
It is organized days after the Senate demanded Macovei’s resignation by passing an opposition-suppoorted motion that lured the vote of some MPs of the governing coalition.
