Four communications companies are bidding for two 3G licenses to be granted by the Inspectorate General for Communications and Information Technology (IGCTI). The bids have been submitted by September 4, and the winners are to be announced on October, 15.

The four bidders are the National Society of Radiocommunications Radicom, RCS&RDS, Cosmote and Telemobil. Their proposals are to be analyzed by September 11, when the evaluation commission will announce the finalists, and the winners are to be announced on October 15, following a rigorous assessment.

The criteria of geographical and population coverage makes up for 55 points, technical feasibility 25, financial capacity -10 points, commercial feasibility 5 points, specialization and experience 5 points each.
