Romania’s second largest oil group Rompetrol will invest over 30 million US dollars in the development of its distribution network and foreign storage infrastructure in 2006, it has been announced.

The investment plan takes into consideration the continuing integration of the French group Dyneff, while Rompetrol Bulgaria plans to increase the number of gas station in the country and build a storage facility of 20,000 cubic meters in the vicinity of Sofia.

Investments in Albania will rise to 7 million USD for the construction of a terminal in Porto Romanom, the construction of an oil storage facitity and the opening of new gas stations. The number of gas station is also planned to rise in the Moldovan Republic and Georgia.

The Rompetrol group runs activities in 12 countries and expects a business figure of 5 billion USD this year, following the integration of the Dyneff company.
