Romanian PM says no relevant proof for blaming Hungary and Slovakia

The Romanian PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu considers the Romanian Intelligence report does not provide information that would show the poultry imports from Slovakia and Hungary led to a bird flu outbreak two weeks ago.

The Vetrinary Authority and the Agriculture Minister launched research operations to trace the origin of the virus hotbeds.

The intelligence report made public on Tuesday writes that the H5N1 virus identified in the county of Brasov comes from living turkey chickens imported to Romania from Slovakia and Hungary.
