Rompetrol Downstream, the retail division of the oil Group Rompetrol, anticipates a turnover of 685 million USD, up 37 percent compared to the previous year, a company’s press release shows.

The company is to expand the delivery network from 90 to 120 units and to 250 gas stations under the brand “Partener Rompetrol”. On Friday, Rompetrol opened the first gas station in the county of Zalau, valued at 1 million Euros.

In 2005, Rompetrol Downstream reached a 15 percent market share. This year the Rompetrol Group announced 20 million USD losses for January-April 2006. Rompetrol Refinary also recoded some 22 million USD losses, due to an increase of the imported oil price.
