A substantial rise of the number of investors, of daily transactions and capitalizations are some of the major priorities of the Bucharest Stock Exchange for the coming years, it was announced in a press conference organized on Wednesday to present the new members of the BSE board.

The board includes President Septimiu Stoica, vice-presidents Ovidiu Sergiu Pop and Dan Viorel Paul, secretary general Nicolae Alexandru Rusu and five other members.

The new head of the Exchange, Septimiu Stoica, said he will use his term to draw 300,000 investors on the BSE from the current 12,000 and bring daily trade to 50 billion euro. He said the Exchange would focus on informing the population on the mechanisms of the institution to rise popular interest in investing there.
