The opposition Social Democrats (PSD) are planning to file a simple motion next week to criticize the fiscal and economic policies of the current government, the PSD president announced in a press conference on Thursday.

PSD leader Mircea Geoana called on PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu to present in Parliament what the most important problems of the nation, that is, to show a plan of fiscal and economic measures for the future.

The opposition leader also requested „a coherent energy strategy, capable of protecting the interest of Romanian citizens, consumers and firms". Geoana said such a presentation was necessary to clear things up in a period of „political irrationality".
