Bucharest mayor Sorin Oprescu has declared that citizens of Romania's capital city are influenced by existing urban legends about the activity of the City Hall. Oprescu presented on Friday his first report on his activity as mayor of Bucharest since his election last month. He added that Bucharest is a city that can be governed and with money and availability, the city's future is bright.
Oprescu declared that his actions in the first month as Mayor give him strength to go on with his plans. He added that what matters is the results citizens witness rather than any internal fights within the City Hall.
Oprescu declared that people need to understand that Bucharest would change but this would take time and commitment. Moreover, he assured that his only interest was in changing this city. Therefore, he appealed to citizens of Bucharest to judge his efficiency rather than scandals portrayed in the media.
