Colgate Palmolive Romania will close its production factory in Brasov, central Romania and will relocate it in Poland, a press release of the company informs. The announcement comes as various big international groups like Nokia and Ford have opened or announced their intention to open up factories in our country.

Company representatives say that the relocation strategy is meant to improve the production efficiency and to strengthen the company's operations. The press release reads that the company's decision is not a consequence of the worker's qualification or the company's performance.

In Romania, the company will make some 45 employees redundant while in other countries like Anzio, Italy, Gebze, Turkey and Salford, Britain, also included in the C-P restructuring process, hundreds will be laid off.
