The Automobile Craiova privatization contract signing ceremony is scheduled for 12:00h on Friday, with President Traian Basescu, Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu and Ford Europe General manager John Fleming participating in the gathering.
Ford Motor Company bought 72.4% of the Automobile Craiova stock. The Romanian institution in charge received the 57 million euro on Wednesday. The contract clauses include a 200,000 units production in the fourth year after privatization and maintaining all 3,900 employees of the factory.
The European Commission decided that some clauses in the contract may be seen as state-offered incentives, therefore the state will also have to recover other 27 million euro.
